John graduated from Lawrence University (Appleton, WI) in 1979 and began working full time for CRB Insurance. He started in personal insurance sales, moved to commercial insurance and life insurance sales. John managed a bank joint venture insurance agency for a number of years. John has served in a number of management roles within the agency over the years and was named President in 1994.

John has obtained is CPCU (Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter) designation in 1987 and the CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation in 1989. He was recently awarded the CRM (Certified Risk Manager) designation in 2005.

John has served in numerous volunteer capacities in the Racine area and at his Church. John is currently serving on the Board of Trustees of the Prairie School, and is very active in the local Soccer community, and serves on the Presbyterian Foundation board.
